Course Overview
This college preparatory course is the study of Euclidian geometry and relies on the student’s prior knowledge of relationships between points, lines, and figures in a plane. Topics include angles, parallel lines, congruent and similar triangles, coordinate geometry, and an emphasis on formal proof. A scientific calculator is required.

- GCS #4: Understands using coordinates to find perimeter of polygons and areas of triangles and rectangles, understands using simple geometric theorems on a coordinate plane.
- GCS #05: Is skilled at determining if two figures on the coordinate plane are similar by finding the measurement of corresponding sides and angles. Is skilled at identifying the scale factor of two similar figures on the coordinate plane and identifying the transformation sequence between them.
- GAP #11: Is skilled at solving problems applying the properties of triangles and quadrilaterals.
